It was just over a week ago that our beloved Gulf Coast faced not one, but two, hurricanes. While Hurricane Marco left our state largely unscathed, Hurricane Laura barreled down on the west most coast of Louisiana, made landfall as a Category 4 storm, and battered much of Cameron Parish including Lake Charles, Louisiana. There are many still without power and many drinking water systems were compromised.
