There are many still without power and many drinking water systems were compromised.

We’ve made a donation to local relief efforts and encourage others to do what they can. We have also updated our five after-the-storm recovery guides which are designed to help homeowners navigate the next steps. These easy-to-read resources cover:
what to do in the first 24 hours after access to your property is restored;
what you need to do in order to document your claim for insurance or for governmental assistance;
how to salvage storm-damaged photos and precious papers;
how to select a contractor; and finally,
some things to consider when building back so you can build back better and increase your ability to age in place.
You can download all five Post-Hurricane-Laura Recovery Guides as a PDF. If you prefer, you can print them from this blog or “right-click and save” as images from below.
