A craving for casual dining spaces

A popular home design trend is served up in the Friday, March14, 2013 edition of the Chicago Tribune. In the article,  Kevin Harris, FAIA, Architect put casual dining on the table as one of the most popular design trends.

The article by writer Kari Richardson served up Kevin’s best advice for those who insist on new homes with formal dining spaces: “Make the room large enough to be repurposed, if needed.”

And, from his personal experience Kevin added: “Make sure there are at least two entries into the room so people can get to the crab dip when you have a party.”
