The newel post and handrail were crafted by The Woodwright Shop, and the joinery speaks for itself. This is the kind of work that doesn’t announce itself from across the room, but rewards you when you get close. That’s the goal.

Benjamin Moore dropped their 2026 palette — “enchanting pales” and “handsome midtones” — and I broke down what that actually means. The short version? People are done playing it safe.

60 Kids and a Pelican

Earlier this month, Kevin had the chance to read Are You a Rhinoceros? to about 60 second grade children from Westdale Heights Academic Magnet at the Old Governor’s Mansion. It’s one of his favorite things to do — and a good reminder that storytelling matters whether you’re designing a house or writing a picture book.
